Congratulations to the Victorian State Lacrosse Team which capped off a very successful 2007 ALL season with a commanding victory over Western Australia at the Victorian State Netball and Hockey Centre in the final game on Saturday 10 November.
Victoria went through the competition undefeated and their experience and determination was especially evident in the games against South Australia where they were forced into overtime on both occasions.
The final was played on a beautiful balmy night with the winners showing their strength and overall ascendency throughout and reaching a final scoreline of 123.
Many spectators enjoyed the high standard of lacrosse presented throughout the competition and also the opportunity to watch members of the 2008 Australian Under 19 Squad in action during the curtain-raiser game against South Australia on the final night.
The 2007 Australian All Star Team (which is selected by State coaches) was announced at the conclusion of the competition.

The future of the Australian Lacrosse League
The Lacrosse Australia Board has reviewed responses to the questionnaire regarding the future of the ALL. The questionnaire was distributed to State Associations and ALL personnel including management, coaches and players.
The Board is currently in the process of preparing recommendations to be considered by State Associations. It is envisaged a decision on the format of the 2008 Senior Australian Championship will be made by late 2007 or early 2008.
