Australian Lacrosse Championships/Tournaments

Lacrosse Australia has responsibility for the conduct of Australian Championships/Tournaments which include Seniors, Under 17 and Under 15. Teams from member States only are eligible to win Australian Championships.

2005 Australian champions are:

Seniors: Victoria
Under 19: Victoria
Under 17: Victoria
Under 15: Western Australia

Awards

The highest level of service and achievement within the sport of lacrosse is recognized by Lacrosse Australia through various awards, eg Fellow, Certificate of Merit, Lacrosse Australia Medallion, Isaachsen Trophy.


Funding

Lacrosse Australia is funded by monies received through fees (affiliation, franchise, licence), members' contributions and the Australian Federal Government.

Lacrosse Australia gratefully acknowledges the support provided by the Australian Sports Commission.


Modified Lacrosse

The development of all forms of lacrosse is the responsibility of Lacrosse Australia.

Sofcrosse was established by Lacrosse Australia as an AUSSIE SPORT activity with enormous success.

Modcrosse is a transition game between sofcrosse and lacrosse. These two modified games are very popular school programs.


Affiliations

Lacrosse Australia is affiliated to the Australian Sports Commission and the Confederation of Australian Sport. It is also a member of the International Lacrosse Federation and the Federation of International D'Inter Crosse.
